5 Colors

Purpose of the Project: To make an application that displays the objects related to that color on the screen every time we touch the cardboards we have prepared in 5 different colors in this project.

Duration:  2 lessons

Age group:  7 years and older

Pinoo Set:  Pinoo Minoo Interactive Coding and Design Kit

Achievements:

  • Learn to code the Pinoo Minoo board.

  • Develops algorithmic skills.

  • Coding skills develop.

Materials to be Used: Scratch 2 program, Pinoo Minoo board, alligator cables, connection cable.

Materials Required for Design: Aluminum foil, round cardboard in 5 different colors.

Project Construction:

For our project, we first take our round cartons.

Then we cover some of our cardboards with aluminum foil as in the picture.

Coding part:

In our project, we first delete our cat puppet.

We add our tree puppet by saying "Choose the decor from the library". Then we add the green apple puppet that we downloaded earlier by saying choose the puppet from the computer.

This is how we added our puppets.

Then we will write the name of the objects by saying draw a new puppet. On the screen that comes up, we write the object names with the help of the writing tool.

Then, again with the help of the writing tool, we write our green-colored objects text and add our green-colored puppets.

Since we will add our objects in other colors later, we uncheck the option to see from the info(i) part of the puppets we added.

Now we add our puppets about our other color. We add our mountain and hazelnut puppets from the computer as in our apple puppets. When we prepare our text puppets with the draw puppet option and add puppets of different colors in the same way, we uncheck the see for each puppet.

Then we add the red objects and the sea puppet from the blue objects from our computer and the car puppet from the scratch library.

Finally, we add the text puppet seen in the picture. Now we move on to coding our puppets.

When the green flag is clicked, we say see below the code and we add our code so that our information text is displayed at the beginning of the game.

Then we create new news from the events tab for each color. Since our w key connection will be green in Pinoo Minoo, we add our code to release the green news when the w key is pressed.

We write this code for all colors.

Since we do not want our notification text puppet to appear when any color is touched, we add our hide code under our code every time a key is pressed.

We released the news of our green puppet in our informational text puppet. Now, when we have green news from here, we add our code to our tree puppet.

We add the codes to hide our puppets about the green color, which will appear when the green news comes, in the same way when the news of other colors comes. We do not forget to add these codes to all of the green color objects.

In the same logic, we add our codes for brown objects, which will appear when brown news comes, and hide when news of any of the other colors comes. Likewise, we add these codes to all our brown puppets. We add the same codes for yellow, red and blue color objects.

Finally, when the green flag is clicked on all our puppets, we add our hide code and we finish our project.

Working Status of the Project:

While we have our crocodile cable connected to the ground, when we touch the aluminum foil part of our cardboard of any 5 colors, we come across objects related to that color.
